- If the existing system has had a history of breakdowns, it may be the opportune time to consider a replacement.
- If the relocation is required due to renovations, it may be necessary to evaluate the heat load in the renovated area. If this has increased, then a new system may be required to give comfort conditions in the new area.
- If heavy corrosion is evident on the existing unit/s it may be prudent to consider purchasing a new system.

Our advice
Generally speaking it doesn’t make economic sense to relocate air conditioners from one property to another – especially ducted systems.
The labour cost involved is usually higher than the cost of a new air conditioner.
In addition to the labour cost there is also the risk that you may inadvertently damage the air conditioner during the move.
