Meet the Sun City Air Conditioning Team

Scott is our most senior technician and is entrusted with ensuring that the quality of Sun City’s field work meets the highest standards. Scott is responsible for all training at Sun City for our field staff – both qualified and non qualified.

Scott was trained by the Australian Army as a dual trade qualified – refrigeration mechanic and electrical fitter. After leaving the army Scott when to north Queensland to begin civilian life and hone his air conditioning skills in the commercial world. He then returned to Brisbane to be a service technician with one of the largest commercial air conditioning companies in Australia. After many years in a field service role he left to join a young company as their Air Conditioning service manager – seeing that company grow from just a few employees to more than 30. He then joined Sun City as our Technical Director and has been with us for more than 7 years.

Scott’s deep technical knowledge about air conditioning means Sun City can always find a solution to a challenging ac technical issue. His passion for training young refrigeration mechanics benefits our apprentices and tradesmen alike.

Greg is our Senior Estimator. He carries out all large estimates and supervises all other estimating activities at Sun City – ranging from simple domestic installations through to large commercial projects.

Greg started his apprenticeship when Adam was a boy and has been in the industry for over 50 years. Greg started with the Queensland government in their building maintenance team. He then had his own commercial air conditioning installation team and was responsible for the air conditioning and mechanical services installation across many buildings in Brisbane. Greg took all the knowledge gained in installing air conditioners in the field and became an estimator doing costings for very large commercial projects across South East Queensland. He joined Sun City over 8 years ago.

Greg’s encyclopaedic knowledge of air conditioning and mechanical ventilation mean no project is too challenging for Sun City to design, cost and install.

Andrew has worked as a Technician, business owner, manufacturer Trainer and manufacturer Service Manager.
Andrew is our service manager and is responsible for the supervision of all our field service and repair staff. Andrew is the first call our technicians make when they need help or advice when making a diagnosis. Andrew also reviews all jobs which require ‘further works’ before the service report is sent to our client.

Andrew is part of our technical management team who ensure Sun City maintains very high levels of service and high quality technical delivery in the field.

Jay leads the installation team and plays a key role in ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and to a high standard. His responsibilities include preparing quotations, coordinating with customers and suppliers, scheduling installation work, and conducting quality checks throughout each project.

As a qualified refrigeration mechanic with more than 10 years of industry experience, Jay has developed extensive knowledge across a wide range of residential and commercial air conditioning systems. He works closely with customers to understand their requirements and helps ensure each installation is completed smoothly from planning through to final handover.

Known for his organised approach and attention to detail, Jay is committed to delivering reliable solutions and maintaining the high standards customers expect from the Sun City Air Conditioning team.

Steven is qualified chartered accountant and has worked all over the world. He started his career at Price Waterhouse Coopers and then quickly moved into the commercial sector. He then travelled to Europe and began working for a US multi-national in financial services. He then returned to Australia to run an insurance business before becoming the CFO of the Australian division on a US multi-national financial services company.

Steven and his wife Teresa bought Sun City Air Conditioning in 2016. Steven is passionate about quality and ensures that Sun City’s quality of work both in the field and back office is to a high standard and always improving. Steven brings all his commercial and process skills from the financial services industry to air conditioning. His commercial acumen combined with the high quality management team mean Sun City is a business that can be relied upon to deliver for its Customers.
